Local Contractor Wins Regional Award

Gallagher Remodeling, Inc., located in Belmont, MA, has won the National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s (NARI) 2008 Contractor of the Year Award for an Entire House remodeling project located in Watertown, MA. The NARI award is for Region One, which encompasses New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

“We are honored to receive this award,” said company owner Roger Gallagher. “We are also proud to have realized our client’s dream for their home, in a way that is recognized and applauded by our industry and our peers.” The project was a team effort, which included designers, lead carpenters and trade subcontractors, to complete the distinguished project.

Contractors from seven regions nationwide vie for the awards on an annual basis. Projects submitted for judging were remodeling projects only, completed between July 1 of 2006 and November 30 of 2007. An impartial panel of judges, who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant’s “before and after” photography and project description. Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. Judging took place at the association’s national headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois, in early January, and winners were announced in March.
