This second story addition was completed over the winter. Our clients wanted a 5-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath house, which was not surprising, considering that they were a family of four living in a 1-bedroom bungalow, with a poorly finished attic being used as a bedroom that the Mr. of the house couldn’t stand straight up in! The house now has bedrooms for the kids and a sewing room/art studio. To make the house more livable throughout, we also remodeled the original space. We improved the previously cramped living room by relocating the main staircase to the other side of a dividing wall and added a fireplace to provide the family with the cozy atmosphere they had always dreamed of.
